A l'instar d'une cérémonie comme celle des Oscars pour l'industrie cinématographique, les Eisner Awards sont un rendez-vous on ne peut plus suivi et attendu pour les amateurs et amatrices de bande dessinée américaine. Chaque année, l'industrie sélectionne et nomme les titres et artisans qui ont produit les meilleurs travaux en termes de comics (et pour certains ouvrages ou médias qui s'y rapportent). Pour l'année 2022, on retrouve donc une sélection qui fait la part belle à DC Comics et Image Comics, avec quelques artistes ou titres qu'on aura eu plaisir à plebsiciter dans nos colonnes - une façon somme toute égotique de se rassurer sur notre analyse des comics parus au cours des douze derniers mois. Sans plus attendre, regardons de quoi les nominations aux Eisner Awards 2022 sont faites.
Du bon, du très bon, et du très très bon
Avec pas moins de quatorze nominations pour ses titres ou ses free-lancers, Image Comics arrive une nouvelle fois à se montrer comme l'un des grands cadors de la scène comics, mais cette année c'est aussi DC Comics, généralement peu présent (comme Marvel), qui impressionne en plaçant à de multiples reprises le titre Nightwing de Tom Taylor et Bruno Redondo dans plusieurs catégories. A côté, on sera ravi de retrouver certains de nos auteurs et autrices favoris, tels que James Harren (Ultramega), Daniel Warren Johnson (Beta Ray Bill), Ram V, Martin Simmonds, Mark Russell, Bilquis Evely, et ainsi de suite.
